The technology and development of the strong Peugeot brand is also reflected in the equipment, which includes keyless ignition, TPMS tire pressure monitoring system, LED daytime running lights, adjustable TCS traction control system with three modes, automatic flashing of the hazard warning lights during heavy braking, independent parking function thanks to electronic front wheel locking, electronic parking brake or clear infotainment of the on-board computer, which is now managed by the i-Connect system. Technically, we have a specially developed Peugeot PowerMotion 400i engine with an output of 26.2 kW and a maximum torque of 38.1 Nm, which starts at 5,750 rpm. This makes the Metropolis' driving performance very dynamic. The engine meets the currently valid Euro 5 emission standard. The performance is helped by reliable disc brakes with a combined ABS and SBC system and, of course, a carefully tuned chassis with a sophisticated front suspension system that will take you safely on any road. The GT and SW versions also have custom-developed Paioli gas shock absorbers.
The SW version offers adjustable gas shock absorbers specially developed in collaboration with Paioli, an integrated rear storage compartment with a comfortable passenger backrest, hand-painted finish and a full load of technical gadgets. Practical storage spaces
The Metropolis also impresses with its practicality. It offers a large, electronically opening trunk behind the spacious passenger seat, on the lid of which a trunk rack can be mounted. The SW version has a rear storage space integrated directly into the scooter body. Another storage space is under the seat, where one small helmet or smaller luggage can fit. There is a flat floor for transporting larger loads or bags, and we haven't forgotten about the integrated hook in the center panel, in which we find a cabinet for storing documents or gloves. Next to the handlebars, we find a storage space with an integrated 12V socket. Wind protection is provided by an adjustable plexiglass shield, comfortable seating for riders of all heights is provided by the adjustable driver's lumbar support, and the passenger has a very spacious seat with massive side handles and folding foot platforms.
